Resonant app
privacy policy.

Effective October 15, 2026

About this policy

Resonant is an independent Sonos controller provided by Gigadyne LLC. This policy describes the native Resonant app. The download website, app stores, operating system, Sonos, and music services have their own privacy practices.

Local speaker control

Resonant discovers and controls Sonos speakers on your local network. It reads room names, speaker models and software generations, group membership, playback information, volume, queues, and saved favorites. Commands and responses travel directly between your device and your speakers using Sonos's local HTTP protocol. That local traffic is not encrypted. Use the app on a home network you trust.

Information on your device

The app stores your selected room, discovered speaker addresses, and pinned-favorite identifiers locally to reconnect and personalize the interface. It does not send these settings to Gigadyne. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app removes these settings, subject to the operating system's storage and backup behavior. Android automatic app backup is disabled.

Music services and artwork

Your speakers handle music playback using the accounts already configured in Sonos. Resonant does not request your Sonos or music-service passwords. Artwork can load from speakers or third-party music-service servers. Those servers receive the requested artwork URL and network information needed to return the image, including an IP address, and may process it under their own policies. The app does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.

No publisher account or analytics

Resonant does not require a Resonant account and does not operate a cloud relay, advertising system, listening-history service, or analytics endpoint. Gigadyne does not receive your speaker information or listening history through the app. Operating-system diagnostics and app-store services remain subject to your platform settings.

Permissions

Network and Wi-Fi multicast access enable local discovery and control. Internet access loads artwork. Resonant does not request contacts, microphone, location, photos, or camera access. If automatic discovery is unavailable, you can enter a speaker's local IP address in Settings.

Support and changes

You can contact Gigadyne LLC at payton@gigadyne.co or through https://gigadyne.co/support. If you choose to provide information in a support request, it is used to respond to and resolve that request. Email and website providers process the request under their own privacy practices. Do not include passwords or account credentials. This policy will be updated if the app's data handling changes; the effective date identifies this version.
